Which bead should I use?
This beading alternative section is designed to give you a list of beads, starting from the left with the most expensive beads, going towards the right with the less expensive beads. It offers a wide range of bead names to satisfy any budget.
For instance, Amethyst, in natural form, can be very expensive. For a similar look, you could go with Iolite, or Translucent Amethyst or Lavender Druk beads.
Another example from the list would be Lapis Lazuli. A 16" strand of natural deep blue Lapis Lazuli can cost about $18 (6mm round). To get the same look for about half the price you could use Sodalite, which is about $8 for a 16" strand of 6mm round stones.
So, what ever your taste is in color, and what ever your budget is, there's a bead out there that will fit your needs.
