Komen foundation has been the leader in fighting breast cancer since 1982, however, my interest started two years ago. The "Search for the Cure" came near and dear to my heart when my mother was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. It was a telephone call my husband and I would never forget. Her doctor diagnosed Breast Cancer, and after doing detailed testing, they concluded that the cancer had spread to her bones. The testing also showed that her cancer markers were very high. It's been a rough two years for her, but finally, after chemotherapy and many medications, the cancer markers are going down.
